A Sinn Féin TD says the Garda model in Roscommon-Longford is 'broken'. Longford-Westmeath TD Sorca Clarke was speaking in the Dáil yesterday during a debate about An Garda Síochana.
She says there are currently 581 Gardaí in the Mayo, Roscommon and Longford Garda Division which covers an area of over 9,000 square kilometres. Deputy Clarke says more Gardaí are needed across the region:
