Plans for a significant upgrade to a popular local hall have been approved by Longford County Council.
St. Mary's Community Hub Committee applied for the permission for the Hall in Newtownforbes.
The plans call for the removal of the rear extension block and the construction of new extension, with a new internal layout and the refurbishment included.
The works will see a 100 square metre hall, kitchen areas, 2 meeting rooms and storage facilities.
The plans were approved with 13 conditions attached.
