The number of people arrested for drink and drug-driving has increased sharply in Leitrim and Sligo this year.
239 have been arrested on suspicion of these offences.
91 people were arrested for drink-driving in Sligo-Leitrim last year.
That has already been surpassed this year, with 104 in the first 10 months of this year.
Drug-driving has also risen significantly in these two counties - with 120 arrests last year and 135 between January and October this year.
There hasn't been the same sharp increases in the Mayo/Roscommon/Longford region.
276 people were arrested for drink-driving there last year - with 219 in the first 10 months of this year.
116 people were nabbed for drug-driving in the same period this year - compared to 156 in all of last year.
