Sports partnerships in the Shannonside region have been allocated almost €1 million in state funding.
Leitrim is getting almost €227,000, with Longford allocated nearly €312,000, and Roscommon getting almost €402,000.
Councillor James Gilmartin is a member of the board of Leitrim Sports Partnership.
