The entire Shannonside region will be under status orange wind warnings today - with widespread power cuts expected. They'll hit Longford, Leitrim and Roscommon from 11 o'clock this morning until 9 o'clock tonight.
Status yellow warnings apply in these counties until then. Cathal Nolan, from Ireland's Weather Channel, says the strong winds will cause significant damage:
