Shannonside Northern Sound is celebrating this afternoon after securing seven nominations in the 'Radio Oscars'.
Sports editor Dave Hooper along with Breakfast roll presenter Sean McCaffrey have been nominated in the Sports Broadcaster local/regional category at the 2021 IMRO radio awards.
Sile Naughton has been nominated as speech broadcaster of the year and Shannonside FM's news 30 is nominated in the news programme category.

The Joe Finnegan Show is nominated for its show, 'death of hero, and Let's Talk is nominated for 'In the Line of Duty in the news programme category.
The sports programme 'The COVID Cup 2020' is also nominated for an award which will handed out at a virtual ceremony on October 1st.
