Waterways Ireland will shut all 16 locks on the Shannon-Erne Waterway from today until the start of January.
No lock passage by boat will be possible over the 10 days, with normal service due to resume at 9am on Tuesday the 4th of January.
Service blocks at Ballyconnell, Ballinamore, Keshcarrigan and Leitrim will remain open over the Christmas period along with all associated land and water based Blueway trails.

On issuing the Marine notice last week, Waterways Ireland apologised for any inconvenience caused to anyone impacted by the closure of the route.
