Gardaí are investigating a serious incident that took place overnight at Castlerea Boxing Club.
It's understood a number of armed men entered the club during the National Boy 4 Championship quarter finals.
The Irish Athletic Boxing Association has condemned the incident at the youth sporting event, branding it as 'abhorrent'.

Gardaí have yet to issue a statement on the matter.
The I.A.B.A. has postponed the rest of the competition, which was due to take place today and tomorrow, over safety fears.
