A senator has been welcoming €428,000 secured for community centres across Co. Longford.
Seven community centres in the county are to benefit from the funding, which has been announced by rural development minister Dara Calleary.
The list of successful applicants include the Murphy Community Hall, Longford Slashers GAA, Granard Community Centre, Killoe Community Centre Association, Longford Rugby Club, St. Mary's Edgeworthstown Community Campus and St. Brigid's GAA Killashee.
The money will facilitate renovation and upgrade works.
