Seasonal drop in homelessness 'does not portray reality'

The seasonal drop in homeless figures doesn't portray reality, according to the Simon Communities.
There's been a fall in homelessness of 335 people to over 14,800 homeless last month including 4,510 children.

However, it says in the year since December 2023, there's been an increase of 12 per cent.
The Simon Communities Executive Director Ber Grogan says it's common to see a temporary fall in numbers in December.
