O'Donnell and Joyce Auctioneers have been appointed as sales agents of the site of a former psychiatric hospital in Ballinasloe. St Brigid's Hospital, which had 22 beds, was closed down in 2013 and has remained vacant since then.
While the HSE was given a derelict sites notice over the poor condition of the facility earlier this year. Local Councillor Alan Harney is delighted to see progress being made:
