Roscommon TD wants tighter restrictions on asylum applications

A Roscommon TD has called on the government to tighten restrictions on asylum applications.

Roscommon-Galway TD Michael Fitzmaurice told the Dáil this week the current system for processing immigrants is "not working".

He stressed that the government need to be more decisive.

Mr. Fitzmaurice also questioned if "a new system has to be set up".
