A Roscommon student won big recently at a national fashion competition.
Orla Jackson who is a TY student at Scoil Mhuire Strokestown, was successful in the Best Tailoring category at the first-ever national Relove Fashion Grand Final.
The finals which were held at the Rediscovery Centre in Dublin, was a showcase for reloved and upcycled clothing.
Orla's winning entry saw her design a top out of one of her dad's old shirts; a skirt from a duvet cover and a jacket made from pre-loved clothes.
Orla says she's now considering a career in fashion and design after emerging from 43 other entrants who were shortlisted for the national award.
