The weather station at Mount Dillon in Roscommon recorded the joint highest temperature in the country yesterday of 23 degrees Celsius.
The other station to record the same temperature was at the Phoenix Park in Dublin.

Next highest in the Shannonside region was Mullingar which recorded 21.6 degrees.

Similar temperatures are expected across the region today before they start to climb further from tomorrow on.
