Roscommon set to become a top tourist destination under new strategy

The new Roscommon Tourism Strategy will put the county on the map as a popular tourist destination.

That's according to the Roscommon's EU Just Transition Fund Tourism Activator.

Gillian McGarry was speaking at the launch of the five-year plan in Strokestown earlier this week.

She says there has been a surge in applications for Just Transition funding in Roscommon.

Gillian says the future of the county's tourism sector looks bright following the launch of the new strategy.
