Roscommon priest, based in US, 'thrilled' with new Pope appointment

A Roscommon priest, based in the US for the past 66 years, says he's thrilled with the appointment of the new Pope.

Monsignor Kevin Flanagan is from Kilglass in Co Roscommon but has been based in the US since his ordination in 1959.

He's based in Paterson, New Jersey, and gave his reaction to the Pope's appointment:

Bishop of Elphin and Achonry, Kevin Doran, said he would not be against allowing priests to marry, after a new Pope was appointed last week.
