A Roscommon man has warned the public not to keep cash in their homes following a spate of recent burglaries locally. John McGarry is from just outside Frenchpark in Co. Roscommon and had his house broken into last February.
He says a significant amount of money was taken from his home during the break in. Speaking to the Joe Finnegan Show this morning, John advised people to avoid keeping cash at home:
