The Roscommon County Litter Warden says the local authority is tackling illegal dumping in the county. It comes after it was revealed that just 21 fines have been issued in the first three months of this year. In total, over 220 waste and litter complaints were made to the council during that period.
Litter Wardens also visited 122 properties to ask the occupier how they dispose of their waste - because they weren't signed up for a kerbsite collection service. Litter Warden Annette Donlon is encouraging people to report cases of illegal dumping:
