Gardai in Roscommon arrested a driver this week for drug driving after he overtook a patrol car at excessive speed in the west of the county.
The local Roads Policing Unit were overtaken by a van driving at excessive speeds at Ballaghaderreen in heavy rain earlier this week
When the vehicle was stopped, the driver failed a roadside drugs test for cocaine.
They were then arrested and are expected to appear in court in the coming months.
