Roscommon driver with suspected false driving licence expected to face court

The driver was found to have no insurance and was also suspected to be a false driving licence.

Two vehicles have been seized in Co Roscommon after separate traffic stops within the space of just over an hour on the same evening.

The first driver was found to have no insurance and was also suspected to be a false driving licence.

Gardaí have confirmed both the vehicle and the licence were seized at the scene.

The motorist is now expected to appear before the courts at a later date.

In a second incident shortly afterwards, gardaí stopped another driver who was found to have multiple alleged road traffic violations.

These included driving without insurance, failing to display valid motor tax and NCT certification, operating the vehicle with a bald tyre, and having a missing headlight.

Officers immediately seized the second vehicle and the driver is also set to face court proceedings.
