Almost €1 million has been earmarked for the repurposing of vacant sites across Co. Roscommon.
The allocation was announced this morning under the Rural and Regeneration Development Fund.
€691,000 has been secured to regenerate vacant sites in Ballaghaderreen.
While over €280,000 will be invested in the change of use of two vacant and derelict Garda stations in Termonbarry and Ballintober.
This will facilitate the construction of creative community and tourism hubs aiming to deliver economic benefits in the two villages.
