A Roscommon Councillor hopes a renewal plan could be considered for the village of Castleplunkett.

Roscommon Councillor Liam Callaghan is hoping that Castleplunkett can put itself forward for town and village renewal schemes. The area was inaccessible following widespread flooding

Roscommon Councillor Liam Callaghan is hoping that Castleplunkett
can put itself forward for town and village renewal schemes.

The area was inaccessible following widespread flooding in
2015 and since then the local authority has worked on resurfacing the Ardeevin
road and taking some adjacent lands in charge.

However, Councillor Callaghan says there is still work to be
done on the Tulsk road which was blocked for three months.
