A South Roscommon Councillor says the Government need to progress plans to turn Athlone into Ireland's first Green City. Fianna Fáil's John Keogh was speaking after developer Sean Mulryan presented his plans for the midlands town at yesterday's council meeting.
Ballymore hope to turn Athlone into a green city by 2040 but say the Government now need to fully back the plan. Cllr Keogh says action needs to be taken now to ensure the project progresses:
