A Roscommon Councillor has called for more resources to be allocated to tackle littering in the county. Fianna Fáil's Paschal Fitzmaurice raised concerns about littering in Castlerea at a Muncipal District meeting last week.
He says the current litter situation in the town leaves pressure on volunteers. Cllr Fitzmaurice also says funding that was set aside in a previous budget to tackle the issue still hasn't been used:
