Roscommon Christmas Festival will go ahead this weekend despite the imminent arrival of Storm Darragh. Organisers say they are mindful of current weather warnings but are confident the storm won't impact the annual event. Tourism Officer Lisa Joy says plans are in place to safeguard a number of installations including market huts and a performance tent.
She said the Christmas Festival organisers are in communication with Met Éireann regarding any further weather warnings this weekend. Speaking to Shannonside News, she said the health and safety of visitors is paramount and organisers will be keeping a watchful eye:
