The cathaoirleach of Roscommon County Council is paying tribute to a distinguished former council official.
Nollaig Whyte died suddenly but peacefully at her home on Wednesday, while aged in her 50s.
Her funeral Mass will take place in St Patrick's Church in Athleague tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock.
Cathaoirleach Paschal Fitzmaurice says her death is a big shock to all in Roscommon County Council.
