Anger is growing among residents in Rooskey over persistent power blackouts in the area.
Around 150 people attended a public meeting in the village last night to express their frustration to ESB officials.
Those in attendance said they had been left without electricity for a number of days due to fallen forestry. Over 100 local residents were in attendance in Rooskey Community Centre last night to express their anger over power outages in the area. Many of those present say they were left without electricity over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend following Storm Kathleen. The ESB say the power faults are caused by problem forestry in the area and that work is being carried out to clear trees.
However, organiser and local councillor Tom Crosby said those affected would have to be compensated.
