The RNLI says their new boathouse at Coosan Point in Athlone is fast becoming a popular local visitor attraction.
More than 200 people visited the station for the Lough Ree RNLI Open Day on the 10th of last month.
The service also collaborated with the Lough Ree Access for All boat project recently in organising a visit for a group from St Hilda's Special School in Athlone.

Organised group visits will begin again the autumn and anyone who is interested should make contact on the Lough Ree RNLI website or Facebook page.
