Regional IFA Executive urges government to scrap nitrates derogation limits

The government must scrap proposed nitrates derogation limits and abandon delays to farming payments

That's the view of IFA Regional Executive for Longford, Leitrim, and Roscommon, Sean McKeon.

Members of the organisation are protesting outside the Horse and Jockey hotel in Tipperary as they demand action from Fianna Fail politicians.

Discussions were held with the Minister for Agriculture, Charlie McConologue and Tánaiste Micheál Martin earlier
