Refusal of planning permission for a telecommunications mast in Granard is being appealed to the higher planning authority.
Eir applied to erect a 20m high lattice telecommunications support structure together with antennas, dishes and associated equipment at the Eir Exchange, Barrack Lane in the town.
The application was denied by Longford planners in December with public submissions lodged to the local authority against the grant of permission made by another Telecommunications company that had been granted planning for a similar development in 2020.

Eir Ltd have now applied to An Bord Pleanala to have the refusal overturned.
