The number of burglaries in Leitrim and Sligo has halved this year, according to the Junior Justice Minister.
Niall Collins was responding to local Fianna Fáil TD Eamon Scanlon in the Dáil.
Deputy Scanlon said incidents and thefts had increased in the northwest - and said Sligo-Leitrim wasn't getting enough gardaí.
