Passengers on the Sligo to Dublin Connolly train line, which includes stops in the Shannonside region are facing delays of 25 minutes or more this morning.
Iarnród Éireann confirmed the disruption is due to to congestion caused by flooding at multiple locations.
Speed restrictions are also in place.
Services in both directions have been affected, causing frustration for passengers.
Travellers are being advised to allow extra time and check updates before departing.
No estimated time has yet been given for a full return to normal service.
