A cabinet minister says the people of Rahara in south Roscommon won't have to endure more flooding 'torture' this Christmas.
Lough Funshinagh has caused heartache to many residents over the past decade, as water levels rose sharply.
But a temporary pumping solution was activated in March and water levels are controlled this winter.
