A public meeting is taking place tonight to discuss the massive fires in west Roscommon just over two weeks ago. Hundreds of acres of forestry and bogland was destroyed in the blaze in Gortaganny and the surrounding area.
Tonight's meeting is taking place at 8 o'clock in Marian Hall in Gortaganny, and it'll be attended by local politicians. It'll be chaired by Seamus Crawley, the chairman of Gortaganny Community Development - he says landowners deserve compensation:
