A protest in solidarity with the people of Palestine is to take place in Mullingar today.
The event will be held at the Mullingar Town Park at 11 o clock. The protest, titled, "Global Kites for Palestine," is to involve the flying of kites to support those suffering in the conflict. The public is encouraged to bring their own kites, which organisers say represent hope and freedom for Palestinians. The protest is being supported by the Mullingar branch for Amnesty International.
