Presidential candidate, Catherine Connolly will visit Carrick-on-Shannon today as she ramps up her campaign ahead of October's election.
An Independent TD for Galway West, she was first elected to the Dáil in 2016.
Ms Connolly said she believes the role of President should be a "moral compass in a world increasingly driven by profit and spectacle."
Included in her visit is a conversation with journalist Carole Coleman at St George's Heritage and Visitor Centre from 3pm until 4pm.
