President of Carrick Chamber says 2024 was a good year for the town

Carrick-on-Shannon is not a weekend town that's reliant on hen and stag parties.

That's according to the president of Carrick Chamber, Finola Armstrong-McGuire.

The town has been a popular destination for hen and stag parties for many years.

But Finola says other tourist attractions in the area also draw significant visitors during the week - although weekend parties are still going well too.

Finola says 2024 was a decent one for business in Carrick.
