Roscommon town has risen to 11th in the latest Irish Business against litter report. It's a rise from July 2025's placing of 23rd, making it cleaner than European norms. Longford has regained it's clean status.
The town dropped to 30th in July 2025's rankings. However, it is now ranked 22nd out of 40 towns and cities across Ireland. Local Roscommon Cllr Larry Brennan has commended those behind the town's appearance:
