The latest Irish Business against litter report has shown two towns in the Shannonside region are cleaner than European norms.
Longford has regained it's clean status.
The town dropped to 30th in July 2025's rankings.
However, it is now ranked 22nd out of 40 towns and cities across Ireland.
Roscommon, meanwhile has seen a surge, going from 23rd to 11th.
Business Against Litter (IBAL), whose latest survey of 40 towns and cities shows Sligo replacing Naas as the cleanest town.
