One of west Roscommon's most popular hospitality businesses is reopening today. Durkin's bar, restaurant and guesthouse in Ballaghaderreen closed two weeks ago, when the then operator pulled out.
But it's reopening today, under new management, ahead of the start of Ballaghaderreen Arts Festival tomorrow. Former councillor Jimmy Cogan lives in the town and says it's very welcome:
