A popular south Leitrim hotel is now under new ownership and is expected to reopen soon. The Lough Allen Hotel in Drumshanbo had been closed for a number of years and was most recently used as accommodation for those fleeing the war in Ukraine. It's expected the hotel will now be refurbished and put back into use as tourist accommodation. Local councillor Brendan Barry has welcomed the news, describing it as a much needed boost for the area. He says the new owner is one of the original investors in the hotel
