Independent TD Catherine Connolly is set for a commanding victory in the presidential election, an opinion poll suggests.
A Red C poll, for the Business Post, has Deputy Connolly on 44 per cent.
That's 19 percentage points ahead of Fine Gael's Heather Humphreys, on 25 per cent.

Fianna Fáil candidate Jim Gavin, who has withdrawn from campaigning but will still be on the ballot paper, has 10 per cent.
A total of 21 per cent are undecided, ahead of the election on Friday.
The poll took place between October 16th and 21st, with Red C interviewing a random sample of 1,012 adults online.
