The new Cathaoirleach of Longford Municipal District Kevin Hussey joined Dan Dooner in studio this week.
In his acceptance speech on Wednesday, Cllr Hussey said he was a proud Longford town man, who grew up in a council house.
He said he couldn't have imagined becoming a councillor in his younger years but was inspired to run by his late grandfather.

The Fianna Fáil councillor also told Dan about his struggles with dyslexia, and said Wednesday was a very proud day:
