PODCAST: Castlerea's Danny Burke on dioceses amalgamation as public meetings end

The last of six meetings about the amalgamation of the dioceses of Elphin and Achonry took place in Castlerea on Saturday.

The Church will now collate the feedback from the meetings, and they will be available for parishioners later this month.

Bishop of Elphin Kevin Doran has led both dioceses since April, and they will merge over the coming years.

He held six meetings with parishioners throughout the region to discuss the issue.

Well-known Castlerea man, Danny Burke, was at Saturday’s meeting and spoke to Eoghan Murphy about how it went.
