Plans have been unveiled for a 27-acre solar farm near Ballinamuck in north Longford.
It would provide enough energy to power up to 3,000 homes a year.
This project is planned by Shanmullagh Family Farm in Ballinamuck.
They say they're committed to sustainable farming and renewable energy.
Their farm already practices organic farming, agroforestry and rewilding.
They're now planning a solar farm across 11 hectares of farmland around a mile from Ballinamuck village.
In planning documents lodged with Longford County Council, they say it would reduce carbon emissions, continue responsible farming, and enhance the local landscape.
County planners are due to decide whether to give it planning permission in early April.
