The HSE have lodged planning permission for the construction of a new out-patient department building at Mullingar Regional Hospital.
The two storey building would include medical consultation rooms. administration offices, storerooms, toilets and staff facilities.
Ancillary accommodation and an adjacent free standing plant room would also be included in the development at the Midlands Regional Hospital

Plans for the construction of the building include installation of PV solar panels to the roof, landscaping and all necessary site works and services.
Westmeath County Planners are due to make their decision on the application in April.
