Planning permission has been lodged for an upgrade at a Leitrim woodland leisure amenity.
Drumhierney Lodge has applied to Leitrim County Council to construct 12 one-bed chalets in lieu of seven previously granted units.
The application also includes the development of a new road connecting to the existing main car park and leading to the rear entrance.

In addition, the lodge is proposing tarmac surfacing as part of its submission, the development of a car park with 33 spaces, two padel courts, and ground mounted 100 KW solar photovoltaic array.
All connections to public services and ancillary site works are included in the application.
County planners have received the application and are due to make a decision by August.
