There are plans for a 28 acre solar farm in in County Leitrim.
The plans being proposed are set to take place in Mullanadarragh, Carrigallen West.
Sollugh Ltd. have expressed their intentions to apply for Planning Permission for the development of a 10 Mega Watt Solar farm in Mullanadarragh, County Leitrim.
The application also includes a UGC grid connection to Carrigallen as well as extra development such as fencing, CCTV and drainage infrastructure.
The planning application is seeking a 10-year planning development with an operational life of 40 years.
They also said the development is covered under the Renewable Energy Directive III, which aims to accelerate the clean energy transition and increase energy security by setting a binding target for renewable energy consumption of at least 42.5% by 2030.
Leitrim County Council received the application last Friday, November 21st and a final decision is expected on the 24th of January 2026
