Planning permission is being sought for a new housing development in Mullingar.
The application proposes to demolish existing two-storey and one-storey residential dwellings at The Chestnuts estate and construct twenty new apartments.
The submission is seeking to develop a three-storey building comprising of ten 1-bedroom apartments, one 2-bedroom duplex apartments, and nine 3-bedroom apartments with PV/solar panels at roof level.

Also included in the project is the construction of a detached bin store and stone boundary wall, piers, railings, vehicular and pedestrian entrance and exit gates.
Westmeath county planners have received the application and are due to make a decision by the end of May.
