The owners of a popular Longford pub and nightclub have lodged planning permission for a number of short stay apartments on their Main Street site. Eddie and Caroline Valentine run Valentine's bar and The Spiral Tree on Main Street in Longford town. They applied for change of use of the part of the licensed premises to short term tourist accommodation.
The plans include seven studio apartments, three one-bed apartments and one two-bed apartment across the ground, first and second floors. County planners will decide on the application later this year.
